RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The flagship of Plus Biomedicals is the Research & Development department where all our projects are born. Composed by a team of young and talented biomedical engineers, the R&D department deals with external consultancy and internal research and implementation.
 

INTERNAL RESEARCH
In collaboration with Hospital, Residential Care Homes, nursing homes, Medical Staff and Association we start from the study of the patient needs to reach to the final product realization.

During the meeting, the client explains the needs of those who work directly with disability, disease or erdlerly people and together we find the best solution that simplifies or improves the life quality of the patient and the operation of those who provide the care, also dealing with production and sales of product.
EXTERNAL CONSULTANCY
Our team offers full consulting services: we analyze the customer’s idea and we provide our experience and our knowhow to give life and shape to the first proposal.

The R&D department fits in this process and goes through the fundamental steps of the project such as evaluation, feasibility studies, research, design and prototyping.

3D DESIGN AND MODELING
WITH FEA ANALYSIS

We design and model any type of geometry with 3D software to make your project true. Furthermore, we also carry out studies with software simulation and FEA analysis on components or products already designed to validate their features and, through reverse engineering analysis, on existing components or products too to improve their characteristics.

MECHANICAL CHARACTERIZATION
OF MATERIALS

We study the best and most suitable materials for the realization of your idea thanks to our internal equipment that allows us to carry out the study of the mechanical resistance of traction and compression and, therefore, a better evaluation of the performances.

QUALITATIVE AND
FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPES

Thanks to our 3D printers with FDM and SLA technology, we can create rapid prototypes of your projects to fully evaluate their actual functionality and improve their characteristics. Furthermore, we are also able to follow the industrialization aspects following this phase.
